Abstract
168,997. Stoney, G. G. June 12, 1920. Vibration-dampers.-Peripheral axial vibrations in a turbine rotor or other rotating disc are damped by means of one or more discs attached to or bearing upon the rotor. One or more such discs 2, Fig. 4, may be secured to the rotor so that their peripheries bear resiliently upon it. A single cupped disc 2, Fig, 5, may be secured to the rotor at its periphery. Or, one or more discs may be secured to the rotor as shown in Fig. 1.
