Rotary tipplers.- The tippler cage of a rotary y tippler is rotated at reduced speed during the unloading part, and towards the end, of each revolution by rollers J, loose on the driving-shaft A but driven therefrom through double reduction g e a r - ing E - - H, or, as mentioned in the Provisional Specification, by differential gear of the sun-andplanet type, and it is rotated during the remainder of each revolution by rollers C secured direct to the driving-shaft. During the first part of each revolution, the rollers C drive by contact with the tippler rings D. During unloading, the rollers J drive by contact with segments K, preferably attached to the rings D, and at the end of each revolution by contact with segments L. Either the segments are of slightly greater radius than the tippler rings, or the rollers J are of greater radius than the rollers C.
