Band or coil.-Relates to bands of the kind comprising a broad part and a narrow part both engaging the drum, the broad part being cut away to receive the narrow part. Instead of the broad part i being forked it is provided with a series of apertures k to receive projections n on the narrow part h. The band may be covered with wood or leather, and mav consist of a number of narrow parts arranged side by side and extending from a broader part.
