Abstract
164,553. Taylor, J., and Holt, R. March 27, 1920. Laminar springs. -In a laminar spring, some or all of the intermediate leaves have mounted in them at or near their ends rollers or balls which bear against the leaves at each side of those in which they are mounted. Rollers h, Fig. 1, are carried. in slots in the intermediate leaves b - - e of a laminar spring. The outer leaves a, f are separated from the adjacent intermediate leaves b, e bv rollers j, best shown in Fig. 2, and similar rollers m separate the leaves at their centres. Rollers such as h may be used instead of the rollers m. In a modification, alternate intermediate leaves carry rollers o, Fig. 5, at their ends. The Provisional Specification refers also to the use of balls between adjacent leaves, or projections on the leaves such as studs, pins, or ribs.
