Abstract
164,396. Reid, G. H. Dec. 9, 1919. Clinometers.-Consists of an instrument for indicating the rate of turn of aircraft and whether the machine is correctly banked for the turn. The device for indicating the banking- angle is of the kind described in Specification 151,330 comprising an arcuate tube 66 containing mercury adapted to close the circuits of lamps 51 - - 62. The Provisional Specification describes means for automatically operating the rudder and aileron controls to obtain a desired. rate of turn and corresponding banking. The means for operating the aileron controls are similar to those described in the Provisional Specification 151,330.
