Cases.-The metal switch case a, Fig. 1, has a removable section c of wood, vulcanite, &c. which is grooved on three sides to slide into an aperture in the case, where it is held by the hinged &c. lid b. Holes d are drilled in suitable positions in the section c to permit the passage of the conductors. When the casing is used in a conduit system, the section c may be made of metal and suitably tapped. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 27249/13.
