Rolling; die-rolling.-Rolling and roll embossing mills of the segmental type in which one roll a, Fig. 4, rotates continuously and the other b oscillates being returned, after each pass of an article, by a weighted lever l acting in conjunction with a stop, have the gear-segments h, i, k and the roll segments e, f, g secured to their shafts by tongued grooves m and keys so that these members may be replaced bv complete annular members as shown in Fig. 2 for continuous operation. The lever ! is rendered inoperative and the annuli are preferably in halves to facilitate application. More than one pass may be provided, one pass being overhung if desired. The gears may be arranged between the housings.
