Abstract

159,978. Delvaux, H. Dec. 9, 1919. Clamps. - A clamp of the kind comprising a lower fixed shoe secured to a pillar on which an upper clamping - arm is slidable mounted, comprises a lower supporting - member 3 fixed at right-angles to a bar 1, an arm 4 slidable on the bar and supporting an upper clamping-member 7 having a forked end 8 engaging the bar 1, and an operating camlever 5 pivoted at 6 to the end of the arm 4. The supporting-arm 4 is formed of two plates through which passes a rivet 11 engaging a slot 10 in a tongue 9 fixed to the member 7, which is thus guided with a limited amount of movement in a direction at right-angles to the surface of the material 12 to be clamped.
