Abstract

Fur and like garments; muffs.-An imitation of stranded skunk or other costly furs, suitable for making up into muffs, ties or other fur garments, is obtained by joining together strips of goat skin or other inexpensive furs, alternate strips differing in colour and length of hair. As shown in Fig. 2, parallel strips of goat skins &c. are joined edge to edge, the narrower strips C being selected with shorter hair and dyed somewhat darker than the strips B so as to obtain a marking similar to that in the natural skunk skins.
