Abstract

157,803. Keller, W. M. Jan. 6, 1914, [Convention date]. Resistance grids.-A rheostat is built up of a numoor of flat reflexed grids of sheet steel or malleable iron threaded and spaced apart on bolts c, d, e which pass through end plates a, b and are secured bv nuts n. The grids are insulated from the bolts by bushes 7, 8, 9 and from one another by mica washers 10. 11 which however may be omitted or replaced by metal washers if electric connection is required between adjacent grids. The plates a, b are provided with feet 12, 13 for securing the rheostat to its support.
