Abstract
157,104. Behn, (nÚe Eplinius), H. Jan. 3, 1916, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Wire and ribbon resistances, mounted on frames; threaded. - A number of wires d are wound on a frame consisting of slotted bars b radiating from a central member c. The wires thus form the equivalent of a band wound on edge. The slots a in the bars b may be at right-angles to the member c or they may slope as shown in Fig. 2 to cause the wires to form a helical surface. The ends of the wires are clamped between radiating members e and a plate g both insulated from the core c by a bush f. The bars b may be of insulating material or of metal having the slots insulated. The distance between the slots and their inclination may vary from winding to winding.
