Abstract

A circuit arrangement for stabilising the feed voltage for the circuits on a chip is described which predominantly consists of components which are arranged on the chip and which can be produced in the same work cycles as the other components on the chip. This circuit arrangement contains a plurality of field-effect transistors (Q1 to Q11) connected in a cascade (12) and shunt regulator (Q12) which is connected to a cap (20) of the cascade and is also constructed as a field-effect transistor and which has the effect that the voltage across the cascade is stabilised to a predetermined value. In a preferred embodiment, an auxiliary-voltage source (114) is also provided which is driven via a gate (120) by means of a latching circuit (116) controlled by the cascade in order to charge up a capacitor (C1) so that the stabilised feed voltage for the electronic circuits on the chip is not interrupted even when the primary voltage source (112) fails. <IMAGE>
