Abstract

The laundry drier has a drier control and a PCT resistance heater. It should be possible to use the latter without elaborate additional devices, even at powers of about three kW. For this purpose, the heater consists of several PCT resistors which are arranged in a circuit limiting the switching-on current. The PCT resistors are switched over by the drier control, for example from the series circuit at the beginning of the drying program into a parallel or part-parallel circuit as a function of time or temperature.
