Abstract
A drive part (12) has an internal tooth system (16) into which an external tooth system (18) on a driven part (20) engages. A disc (62) which has an internal tooth system and likewise interacts with the external tooth system (18) is prestressed in the circumferential direction with respect to the drive part (12) by means of a helical spring (56) which engages on the drive part (12), in order to compensate for the backlash between the two tooth systems (16, 18). The advantage of such an arrangement is that the two coupling parts (12, 20) cannot move freely with respect to one another within their backlash and consequently as little noise as possible occurs even when the wear increases. Such a device can be used for a coupling or for a brake. <IMAGE>
