Abstract

Compounds of formula I are prepared from compounds of formula II. The meaning of the symbols is given in Claim 1. To do this, the compound of formula II is reacted, in a first stage, with pyridine hydrochloride in order to convert the methoxy group(s) to OH group(s). This product is reacted with a compound R1X and then subjected to a saponification of the sulphonyloxy group. The compounds obtained are useful as stabilising agents for thermoplastic resins. <IMAGE>
