Abstract

1537576 Horizontal deflection circuit INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 20 Jan 1976 [22 Jan 1975] 02142/76 Heading H3T A horizontal deflection circuit comprises a controlling portion substantially as shown and a commutating portion (not shown) to control the timing of the deflection once every line scan and a D.C. power supply current source which is D.C. isolated by transformer 15) from the controlling portion. A reference potential 187 (ground or chassis) is so connected in the deflection circuit that the potentials on opposite sides of the deflection coils 28 are equal and opposite with respect to the reference potential whereby the insulation may be reduced. The circuit shown has winding 15 driven from a commutating circuit (not shown) and capable of oscillating with the capacitors (191) and 192. The un-numbered winding connected through isolating capacitor 24 provides gating signals for the SCR 16. Alternatively the deflection coils 28 can be centre tapped. Items 29 and 21 act as current sources, items 22, 23 are pulse shaping elements, and winding 10a can supply auxiliary circuits.
