Abstract

1537356 Pneumatic tyre treads MICHELIN & CIE (COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES ETABS MICHELIN) 4 March 1976 [4 March 1975] 8750/76 Heading B7C A radial pneumatic tyre has a tread provided with at least one circumferential rib 2 which is continuous or discontinuous, the rib having, in each sidewall, adjacent each salient angle 21, a recess 23 and a straight incision 24 and, each re-entrant angle 22, a recess 25 with adjacent straight incisions 26. The adjacent incisions 24, 26 may be joined, as shown, by incisions 27. The rib portions 4 may be reduced to zero length in which case adjacent incisions 24, 26 on each side of the rib may coincide. Rib portions 4 of different length may alternate, as shown, in each rib. The incisions may open out into recess (28, 29, 38, 39) (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown). The recesses may be arcuate in plan (Fig. 3, not shown).
