Abstract

1536544 Microfilm reader/printer IMAGING TECHNOLOGY Ltd 11 March 1976 [12 March 1975] 10231/75 Heading G2A A microfilm reader/printer, comprises a translucent viewing screen 2, a printing plane 22 and a support 19 for a microfilm, has a movable member 3 which is movable between viewing and printing positions and which has two oppositely reflecting surfaces 9 and 10, surface 9 being used during viewing and surface 10 being used during printing. Member 3 is pivotally connected at the upper end to a bell-crank lever 13, which is itself pivoted at 17, and has rollers 14 near its lower end, which are supported on a guide 15. The viewing position of member 3 (in which a mirror 4 is utilized) is defined by a stop below the free end 18 of lever 13 (end 18 being operated by a Bowden cable) while the printing position (in which mirrors 6 and 5 are utilized) is defined by a stop 16 at one end of guide 15 or by a stop above end 18. In the viewing position, member 3 obstructs the passage of light into printing compartment 7. The objective lens 20 is adjustable or replaceable. Printing mirror 5 may be fixed (as shown) or attached to member 3. An automatic print button may be pressed after viewing.
