Abstract
1536308 Replenishing piles of sheets GRAPHA-HOLDING AG 2 Sept 1976 [9 Sept 1975] 36279/76 Heading B8R A pile of sheets on conveyer 9 is replenished by use of a device 30 movable to-and-fro along the conveyer path, the supporting surface of the device 30 also being movable between a position where it is above the level of the conveyer surface, and a position in which it is below the conveyer surface. When replenishment is necessary, the surface is raised, and a new pile placed therein. The device is then moved towards the diminishing pile, and spring-loaded rear end pusher 20 removed, entraining as it does end plate 19. Fast-end support 23, entraining fast plate 19 is then removed, and the supporting surface moved to below the conveyer surface to deposit the replenishment upon the conveyer, the strapping removed from the replenishment, and the spring- loaded presser inserted behind rear plate 19. The device 30 is then retracted to its initial position. The raising and lowering may be achieved by air motor 50 pressing against levers 28 with wheels 26 at their ends, the wheels running in tracks to facilitate the to-and-fro motion. The pusher 20 may be rotatably mounted on slide rod 18 to allow pivoting out of the line of the pile. Front-end support 23 may be inserted in holes 25 in device 30.
