1536072 Bar feed collets RUDOLF BUSCHMANN SPANNWERKZEUGFABRIK 8 Sept 1977 [28 Sept 1976] 37441/77 Heading B3B A bar-feed collet device comprises a clamping sleeve 5 with elongate slots to form clamping jaws, and a holding bush 2 into which the clamping sleeve 5 is screwed by means of complementary buttress threads 4, 6, and wherein the sleeve and bush have mutually engaging stop surfaces 9, 10 whereby continued relative rotation after the engagement of said stop surfaces 9, 10 causes the sloping faces of the buttress threads to cam the clamping jaws inwards to an adjustably pre-set bar gripping force. An index mark 12 and a scale 11 allow accurate pre-setting.
