Abstract

1534543 Gas-fired forced-convection ovens ROBINSON WILLEY Ltd UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd and D GREIG 7 June 1976 [5 June 1975] 24230/75 Heading F4W A gas-fired forced convection oven comprises a cooking compartment 13 having a door 12 at the front thereof and separated from a fan compartment 14 by a rear wall 15, the compartment 14 having an inlet 16 and outlet from and to the compartment 13 respectively, a fan 19 in compartment 14, a gas burner 21 for supplying combustion products to compartment 13 through a floor opening 22 adjacent the rear wall 15, and a flue outlet opening 25 from compartment 13 adjacent the front edge of the roof thereof. In the event of the fan 19 being inoperative, the relative positions of the fan and openings 22, 25 is stated to permit operation of the oven as a conventional oven without excessive heating of the stationary fan. The opening 22 is defined by an elongate duct having slots 23 for inlet of diluting gases. Inlet 16 is provided with a grill. The rear wall 15 is defined by a removable plate spaced at all four sides from the oven walls to define the outlets from compartment 14. The outlet 17 at the bottom of compartment 14 is 3-4 cm. wide and the remaining outlets are 0À5 cm. wide. A flue duct 24 from opening 25 extends across almost the full width of compartment 13 and is defined by a removable plate 27.
