Abstract

1534200 Tables SIEMENS AG 6 July 1976 [9 Aug 1975] 28112/76 Heading A4H Dental apparatus comprises a table 6 for receiving instruments and mounted on a support 1 by means of two arms 8, 9 connected at their adjacent ends for relative pivotal movement about a vertical axis 7 by a generally vertical connecting member 10, the arm 8 being connected by its other end to the support 1 for pivotal movement about a vertical axis 4, the arm 9 being connected by its other end to the table 6 for pivotal movement about a vertical axis 14, and the length of member 10 being approximately equal to the thickness H of the table, whereby the table is pivotable into a storage position between the arms 8 and 9. The arm 8 is disposed below a horizontal plane 12 containing the lower surface of the table and the arm 9 is generally horizontal and lies above a horizontal plane 13 containing the upper surface of the table. The arm 8 is formed by a pair of vertically spaced parallel links of equal length which are individually connected between the support 1 and the member 10. The length of arm 8 is approximately half the length of the arm 9 and of the length of the operating side of the rectangular table.
