Abstract

1532881 Easels D B SMITH 23 April 1976 [25 April 1975] 16714/76 Heading A4H [Also in Division B6] A collapsible structure, such as an easel, comprises central and side front panels 12, 24, 26 hinged together at 28, 30 and central rear panel 14 hinged to panel 12 at 16, side panels 24, 26 being prevented from hinging rearwardly in the erect condition by rear side panels 32, 34 hinged to panel 14 at 36, 38 and having diagonal folds 52, 54 to provide trianguler portions B1, B2 that are secured to triangular portions Al, A2 of panels 24, 26. The structure is erected from a single flat blank, and the erected structure can be folded flat with composite panels 24, 32 and 26, 34 overlying central panel 12 see Fig. 3 (not shown). Note pads 13, 15, 17 may be suspended from panels 24, 12, 26. A second form Figs. 6-8 (not shown) has a book-supporting Iedge (94). A third form Figs. 9-11 (not shown) has narrow central panels and can be used as a permanent book-jacket. A plurality of joined structures can be formed from a single blank Figs. 13, 14 (not shown).
