Abstract

1531276 Treating wood &c NORMAN RUDD (DAMP COURSING DIVISION) Ltd 24 Nov 1976 [26 Nov 1975] 48666/75 Addition to 1365867 Heading A5E [Also in Division D1] A liquid fungicide or insecticide is frozen to form a pellet and is inserted into a hole in a porous structure e.g. wood, where it melts to distribute the active constituent. The active compound may be "Mystox" (Trade Mark) i.e. sodium orthophenyl phenate or pentachlorophenyl laurate. The pesticide may be an aqueous solution. A porous pad may be inserted into the hole with the pellet and the ends of the hole may be sealed during melting.
