1531124 Spreading carcase legs J S ENG (NORFOLK) Ltd 12 Sept 1977 [1 July 1977] 27543/77 Heading A2U A carcase leg spreader comprises a finger for engaging a carcase leg to move it away from another leg in which the finger is pivotally mounted on a carriage, which carriage is displaceable by drive means from a first position in which the finger hangs down towards a second position, and further comprising guide means which is engaged by the finger during displacement of the carriage towards the second position, which engagement causes the finger to be pivoted through substantially 90‹ during the said displacement, the pivoting of the finger causing it to be brought into contact with the carcase leg.
