1530788 Fluidised bed reactor TIOXIDE GROUP Ltd 5 Oct 1976 [28 Nov 1975] 48966/75 Heading B1F [Also in Division F4] A fluidized bed reactor e.g. for chlorination of titanium ore has a base region with a plurality of tuyeres surrounded by ceramic infill 5, a base plate 1 and a hollow gas distribution chamber 8 defined by a supporting plate 6, a secondary plate 9 detachable from plate 1 and a skirt member 10, apertures 11 for tuyere locating tubes 12, a central aperture in plate 9 for introduction of gas to chamber 8, gas passages 17, 18 and 16 for passage of gas from chamber 8 to tuyeres 4.
