Abstract

1530619 Delivering sheets POLYCHROME CORP 19 Dec 1975 52024/75 Heading B8R [Also in Division G2] Printing plates are delivered from a developing tank by nip roller pairs 22A/22B and 24A/ 24B which are normally spaced apart to allow insertion of a plate up to end stop 164. Brushes 26A/26B are rotated faster than the rollers to scrub the plate as it is moved vertically out of the tank by the nip rollers. A hand operated cam plate is used to move the bearings of rollers 22A and 24A and brush 26A to engage and release the rollers and brushes for insertion of a plate. The drive to the rollers is activated after a time delay to control the dwell time of the plates in the developer. Guides 165 ensure that a plate enters the nip of rollers 24A/24B on removal from the tank.
