Abstract

1530589 Suspending curtains; curtains BESTOBELL HOME PRODUCTS Ltd 13 Oct 1975 [18 Oct 1974] 45579/74 Headings A4B and A4S [Also in Division E1] A curtain, fabric screen, fabric strips, slatted door or like closure member is suspended from a support which comprises a support rail 11, a plurality of sliders 14 moveable along the rail, and a plurality of hangers 20 associated one with each slider 14 and mounted thereon by a pivot pin 23; each hanger 20 supporting either the upper edge of a section of curtain 24 between successive fold lines or the upper edge of a slat, the hangers 20 being pivotable through an angle limited at one end, i.e. when closure member is in the open position, by abutment of adjacent hangers 20, and at the other end by abutment of the hangers 20 with stops 19 on their associated sliders 14 when the hangers 20 are inclined relative to each other or to the rail 11. The hanger 20 have a T-section slot 21 which may receive a cord 28 or reinforcing strip 27b attached to the upper edge of a curtain fabric 24. The curtain fabric 24 may have fold lines defined by parallel rows of slots 25. When of slotted form the closure member may comprise slots hinged to the next adjacent slots or the slots may be separated from each other. Alternate slots may be wider than the others to permit overlap of adjacent vertical edges in the closed position.
