1530550 Profile measuring MITUTOYO Mfg CO Ltd 9 Sept 1977 [25 Oct 1976] 37695/77 Heading G I M A known profile measuring apparatus, Fig. 1 has pivoted links 4, 6, 8 and an arm 10 supported by a plate 3 movable on a slide 2 so that the point of a stylus 9 moves vertically when the links pivot. In order however to prevent the plunger 11 from moving arcuately through the differential transformer coil 12 the plunger of the present invention is mounted either on a parallelogram linkage as in Fig. 4 (not shown) or on a wire moving around pulleys as in Fig. 5 (not shown).
