Abstract

1530504 Printing apparatus MOSSTYPE CORP 6 May 1976 18659/76 Heading B6C A sleeve for mounting a printing plate on a cylinder comprises three layers formed by winding plastics tape helically so that two layers are wound in opposition to the other layer. The two layers wound in one direction are offset so that the outer layer of the two covers the gaps in the inner layer. The sleeve is slid on to a cylinder core from which air jets are emitted to stretch the sleeve and once in position the sleeve is allowed to contract to a tight fit.
