Abstract

1530350 Electrical test jigs MARCONI INSTRUMENTS Ltd 15 Sept 1977 [23 Oct 1976] 44100/76 Heading H2E An electrical test jig comprises a carriage 1 for supporting a circuit board 10 to be tested, a bed 2 carrying an array of contacts 8, and means, e.g. guide pins, for aligning the carriage 1 and bed 2 and providing for movement towards and away from each other whereby the contacts 8 are connected to desired parts of the circuit board 10. Sealing means 11 is provided for sealing between the circuit board and the carriage, further sealing means, e.g. flexible bellows 12, sealing between the carriage 1 and the bed 2. In use, evacuation of enclosure 13 causes bed 2 to approach carriage 1 to effect the electrical connection between the contacts 8 and the circuit board 10.
