1530058 Purifying tar BERGWERKSVERBAND GmbH 24 Aug 1977 35436/77 Addition to 1500353 Heading C5E Low temperature tar produced in the pressure gasification of coal at up to 600 to 700 ‹ C. is freed from emulsified water by maintaining at 100 to 160‹ C. and 5 to 100 torr for 1 to 5 minutes with stirring and/or kneading (e.g. in an extruder) and is then filtered under a superatmospheric pressure at 120-220‹ C.
