Abstract

The copier can be used for jointly exposing a plurality of originals (25, 27) or sections thereof. The originals are secured in separate retaining devices and can be mutually displaced by the latter row by row or section by section in such a way that arbitrary combinations of originals are possible. Also provided are a displaceable cover (26) for an original (27) and a masking tape (29) which can be slid under the originals. The displacement of the originals, the cover and the masking tape is automatically controlled by a programming unit containing a specific programme, and as a function of the number of the copying operations carried out. <IMAGE>
