1528385 Automatic control NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 4 March 1977 [10 Dec 1975] 50657/75 Heading G3N A dispensing apparatus comprising a piston for displacing material from a container e.g. a syringe comprises a motor 24 for driving the piston and a bi-stable circuit 59 responsive to periodically repeated signals at 60 from a timing circuit 57, 58 to cause it to feed energizing current to the motor, and responsive to signals at 61 from a piston position sensor 64 to switch off the energizing current each time the piston displacement increases by a predetermined increment.
