1526869 Selective signalling C G WINES and C M GRACE 22 July 1976 [24 July 1975] 30621/76 Heading G4H An automatic data processing system for transferring credit and credit information to and from the accounts of subscribers comprises: (a) I.D. means for each subscriber, use of which permits access to credit and credit information, (b) central data processing means including means for credit information storage, means for transferring credit among different subscribers' accounts, and means for receiving and transmitting credit information to and from a plurality of terminals, (c) input/output subscriber terminals in communication with the central means and activated by the use of the I .D. means, and (d) employer input terminals in communication with the central means to permit credit deposits (wages &c.) in the accounts of the subscribers. Accounts of credit transactions can be printed out at each terminal and the central means. Governments, merchants, banks, and individuals may have terminals. The I.D. means may be cards. Backup central means may be provided. Debit delays may be ordered.
