Abstract

1526803 Shelf bracket; book ends I W SHELL 26 Aug 1975 [26 Aug 1974 13 Aug 1975] 35156/75 Headings A4B and A4U A shelf support comprises a channelled upright 12 and at least one bracket 10 having means (rods 24, 30) for contacting the inner and outer faces of a wall 54 of the upright, and a cam member 38 for adjusting the slant of the bracket. The member 38 is a cylindrical and has a central collar (39), see Fig. 3 (not shown) off set from the axis of the cylinder and engaging in notches 32 or 34 in the bracket, so that rotation of the member about that axis alters the slant of the bracket. Modifications include a cam member (80) having part of its periphery flat, and the provision of a spacer (94) for inserting between the member and the upright, Figs. 8 to 11 (not shown). A shelf end or book end in the form of a spring for engaging the upright is described, Figs. 15 to 20 (not shown).
