Abstract
1526611 Holograms FUJI PHOTO OPTICAL CO Ltd 17 Jan 1977 [20 Jan 1976] 17102/77 Heading G2J A hologram capable of being reconstructed with white light is produced by simultaneously recording a first hologram wherein the reference beam interferes with a first uni-directional image of the object, said first image being focused in the holographic plane; and a second superposed hologram wherein the same reference beam interferes with light from a second unidirectional image of the object, the second image being perpendicular to said first uni-directional image and being focused a short distance in front of the said holographic plane, It is stated that the first component records 'image' information and that the second component records parrallax information. From the theory it is shown that the reconstruction is relatively insensitive to wavelength, thereby allowing reconstruction with white light. As shown, Fig. 1, the uni-directional images are produced by mutually perpendicular cylindrical lenses 3A, 3B.
