1526579 Explosives detection PYE (ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS) Ltd 21 June 1977 [1 July 1976] 27447/76 Heading G1B In screening subjects for explosives a controlled access tunnel is provided with a first pair of apertures 3, 7 and at a greater distance from the entrance to the tunnel a second pair of apertures 4, 6, air ducts 10, 12 joining pairs of apertures as shown, fans 11, 13 being provided to induce an air-flow through the ducts and across the tunnel and means 20, 21 detecting any explosives vapours emanating from a subject in the tunnel and carried in the air-stream. Movable barriers 22, 23 may be provided.
