1526437 Hoppers LONDON BRICK CO Ltd 15 Sept 1976 [8 Oct 1975] 41332/75 Heading B8S Material handling apparatus comprises a stationary hopper portion 12 which is open on its left side as in Fig. 1, a loading ramp or scoop 11 being pivotally attached at 15 to the hopper portion 12 for movement between a lower position (dashed-dot lines) in which a refuse vehicle (not shown) can reverse into the scoop 11 and discharge its load, and the upper position (full lines) in which it forms part of a completed hopper with the hopper portion 12, and the refuse which was deposited therein is discharged through the hopper outlet into a compactor (13), Fig. 2 (not shown).
