Collapsible vehicles; bodies; caravans. - A trailer caravan with superimposed floors has its vertical walls adapted to be reduced in height to allow of transportation of the caravan. The walls 1. The upper parts of the walls are made of fabric or other flexible material, preferably double, and the roof is supported by supports 5 hinged at 6 to fold down into the caravan, or hinged to the floor and adapted to be folded down. The window casements are removed and stored prior to folding, and the frames have folding uprights 7 which may form roof supports. The lowered roof may be strapped and hooked down. Guys 8 are attached to the top of rigid walls 1. Alternatively the upper parts of the walls may be rigid, forming with the roof 9, Fig. 4, a case movable downwardly outside the fixed walls 12 by means cf wire cables 13 passing over drums 14, 15 on a shaft 16, packing 19, and flanges being provided to ensure tightness. During camping the roof weight may be supported by uprights 20, brackets, or catches, and internal cross guys may be fixed, both in the upper and the lower parts. The upper part may also ba covered by a flexible roof carried on a frame like a vehicle hood. Further, the upper walls may be formed of rigid telescopic strips fitting one another or capable of being folded or rolled up. The lower storey may also be reducible in height, and shelters may be arranged in combination therewith.
