Abstract

1526025 Hybrid transformers COMMUNICATIONS PATENTS Ltd 18 Feb 1977 [6 March 1976] 9081/76 Heading H4R [Also in Division H1] A hybrid transformer has a primary with two sections 4, 5 connected directly in series by a capacitor 22, and two secondaries each having two sections 6, 7 and 8, 9 connected directly in series and intermediate its sections to respective terminals of the capacitors via HF terminating impedances 23, 24 (i.e. resistors, possibly shunted by chokes 25, 26, so that AF signals at 10, 12 pass directly to outputs 14, 18 and 17, 21 whilst HF signals pass by induction. A subscriber may therefore connect two receivers to the hybrid, each to receive HF and AF programmes.
