Abstract
152,434. Barron, J. July 16, 1919. Hand-hole covers.-A clearing eye in a sanitary trap is normally sealed' by a cover b<6> having packing b<1>. The cover is held in place by a tapered bar b<8> which engages a recess c<1> in the body of the trap at its lower end and a curved recess b<9> at the upper end to allow of its being withdrawn from the lower one. The bar passes through a hole in a knob b<7> on the cover. To prevent loss of the bar when the cover is removed, the bar is fitted with a screw c<2>. A chain connects the screw and an eye c<3> on the bar to facilitate removal of the bar.
