Abstract

1523592 Dyeing textiles WIRA 22 Sept 1975 [22 June 1974] 27800/74 Heading DIL Textiles are dyed by applying dye liquor in an amount of not more than 60% of the saturated textile wt. and fixing the dye whilst applying mechanical pressure thereto in a steam autoclave. As shown, following liquor take-up at 60, the textile F is conveyed through steam autoclave 10 whilst sandwiched between tensioned pressure-applying belts 24 and 36. Within the autoclave the textile passes around large drums 11, 11a, 11b and small central roll 12 on which the former bear adjustably. The belts may be cleaned at 59. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1409531.
