1522951 Duplicating video recordings using photographic methods THOMSON-BRANDT 15 July 1975 [16 July 1974] 29726/75 Heading G2X A video frequency signal recording is duplicated by a) exposing a transparent carrier having a photo-sensitive layer to a laser beam modulated by the video frequency signal, the beam and carrier moving relatively to each other to produce a latent image in the form of a spiral track b) developing the resin to remove the exposed areas c) depositing a layer of material opaque to x-rays, e.g. carbon or an alloy of Mn and Bi, on the bared carrier and remaining resist d) removing the remaining resist and overlying material to leave a mask and e) exposing a sensitive resin covered disc to x-rays through the mask.
