Abstract

1522512 Knapsack HNP HALL 19 Sept 1975 38467/75 Heading A4G [Also in Division E1] A tent comprises a sheet Fig. 5, a plurality of tent poles 2-5 and a shoulder sling arrangement Fig. I (not shown) wherein the sheet is provided with tubular pockets 8, 9, 11, 12 to accommodate at least some of the poles 2, 3, 4, 5 in the form of a frame when the sheet is gathered Fig. 2 to form with the sheet a closable pack for carrying on a camper's back by means of the shoulder sling arrangement, which may be threaded through tabs 19-24. The tent may be erected as in Fig. 3 with groundsheet G1 folded in on top of G2 to form a narrow tent using flaps D1 for the end closures. The sheet is also fastened this way when used as a pack. Alternatively G2 can be spread out beside G1 and flaps D2 used for the end closures to provide a wider tent.
