1521854 Photo-flash unit GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 13 June 1977 [28 June 1976] 24553/77 Heading G2X A percussive-type photo-flash unit (e.g. of the flash-cube type) comprises a base 11, a striker 17, a cocking member 18 for holding the striker in a cocked position away from the percussive-type ignition member 13 of a flash-lamp 12, a trigger opening 20, and a rib 22 which extends above the base member partly along the side of opening 20 between ignition member 13 and the cocked striker 17 so as to guide the striker on its release to a point on ignition member 13 which is higher than the cocked position of striker 17. The rib may be on the inner or outer side of opening 20.
