Abstract

1520010 Radar displays LEHMKUHL AS 26 Nov 1975 48549/75 Heading H4D A digital device for producing, on a shipborne (for example) P.P.I. radar display, a bearing line in a desired direction, comprises a counter 11 and a counter 12 the outputs from which feed a comparator 13 such that when the count in counter 11 reaches the same value as the value of the preset count in counter 12, the units of which counts correspond to the 360 degrees of the compass, and the count in the counter 12 corresponds to the bearing of the desired bearing line. Counter 11 is triggered to start counting when the antenna bearing is in the straight ahead position of the ship, from the count value corresponding to the reference direction provided by the ship's gyrocompass. A signal so produced in comparator 13 is fed to unit 14 which controls the radar display to display the bearing line, in the desired direction. (For figure see next page)
