1518722 Compositions containing clavulinic acid BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 28 April 1977 [5 May 1976] 18334/76 Addition to 1508977 Heading A5B Antibiotic compositions for administration by injection comprise a cephalosporin of formula (I): or a salt thereof, wherein-X-Y= represents the group R is phenyl, 2-thienyl, 3-thienyl or 4-hydroxyphenyl, and R<SP>1</SP> is methyl and R<SP>2</SP> is phenyl, isopropyl, furyl, thienyl or methylamino, or R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> and the N and C atoms to which they are attached form an imidazolin-2-on-1-yl group, and clavulinic acid of formula (II): or a salt thereof.
