Abstract

1517687 Fuel derived from refuse BLACK CLAWSON FIBRECLAIM Inc 10 March 1977 [13 May 1976] 10261/77 Heading C5G Lump fuel is produced from refuse by (a) adding water to refuse to form a pulpable mixture, (b) pulping the mixture to disintegrate the relatively frangible part of the refuse, (c) extracting from the pulped refuse a slurry containing combustible and non-combustible particles having predetermined dimensions, (d) separating non-combustible particles from the extracted slurry, (e) concentrating the slurry by removal of water to form a concentrate of the combustible particles and (f) forming the concentrates into lumps.
