Abstract
1517654 Time-recording apparatus RIDGEWOOD TECHNICAL SERVICES Ltd 2 June 1977 [2 June 1976] 22827/76 Heading G1J A recorder for recording the times taken by operators to complete operations comprises a drum 4, rotated by an electric or clockwork motor, for supporting a record strip 7 and moving it past a row of writing members 16, and a set of keys or buttons 14 each arranged, when depressed, to cause a respective writing member 16 to mark the strip 7. The buttons 14 when pushed remain depressed until pushed a second time. The writing members 16 may be hard points to mark pressuresensitive paper, or pens, a member 16 marking the strip 7 for as long as its button is depressed so that the length of the trace corresponds to the time taken for the operation. The recorder is portable and is housed in a casing 1 which locks on to a base 2 and has a carrying handle 17. A removable cover 18 covers the array of buttons 14. A sliding window 20 adjacent the drum enables notes to be written on the strip 7.
